On June 14 2012 Andrew Cadigan completed his epic 15,000km solo walk from Sydney back to Sydney, making him only the third person to walk unassisted around the country (although the only to include Tasmania).

His catchcry was: ‘One man, one pram, two feet and a heartbeat!’

He walked in honour of his mate Simmo (Chris Simpson) who passed away in 2010 from complications related to myelodysplasia, or MDS. Sadly, while holidaying and recuperating in Thailand, Andrew suffered terrible head injuries in a motor cycle accident a month to the day after completing his trek and passed away in hospital in Sydney on October 5 2012 - a tragic loss of a young man who was an incredibly determined achiever and inspiration to others.

More than 600 people attended his funeral with a moving video tribute inspiring those who were present.
